Sean Murphy has devoted his life to the betterment of youth soccer for over 23 years primarily as a coach, but also a director, administrator, referee, diplomat, and a player. Sean’s commitment of his time and energy to the youth soccer programs in Berks County and Eastern Pennsylvania has been unparalleled.

Sean is a Super Y-League ODP Regional Staff Coach and was also active in the EPYSA ODP program for several years. Sean has developed countless male and female players that have gone on to find successful professional and college playing careers and equally impressive and successful professional careers outside of the game of soccer. His five year high school coaching career at Tulpehocken HS yielded three District Championships, one District Finalist, and one State Championship (2001).

It was Sean’s professional career as an Engineering Manager for Arrow International, Inc. that originally brought him to the Berks County area, in 1989, from Chicago, IL. Sean holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Plastics Engineering, is currently working on his PA Teaching Certification, and holds many coaching licenses including the NSCAA Premier Diploma and has most recently completed the Director of Coaching Diploma. Sean currently coaches several academy teams as well as the U17 Boy’s Super Y-League team that has qualified for the Super Y North American Finals five years in a row.
